General
Device Settings
Name: This name only appears here as a reminder of which system you are looking at.
Resolution: This affects only a local monitor attached to the NVR.
Language: Choose the language for the interface for the computer being used.
Auto Logout: Logs the user out after prolonged inactivity.
Auto Login: This allows a local user (one using the NVR with its attached mouse and monitor) not to have to log in.
Date Setting
Use the Time Format and Date Format dropdowns to adjust how the timestamp appears.
You have three options for maintaining the NVR’s time clock.
-
To coordinate with a national time server, enable NTP and select an NTP server along with the desired settings. We recommend this approach.
-
To define the NVR time yourself, set Synchronous to Manual. Click in the Set Time box, and set the date and time. Click Apply. The NVR sets to that time, then maintains its own time going forward.
-
To synchronize with the computer, enable Sync. with computer time. Click Apply. The NVR syncs with the computer once, then maintains its own time thereafter.
DST
Enable Turn On Daylight Saving Time as needed. Use the dropdowns to set when to start and end daylight saving, and how much to shift the time.
User
Only the Administrator account and users that have the “Account and Authority” permission can manage the system’s accounts. The Administrator group has all permissions, and its permissions cannot be changed.

Click + Add User to create a new profile.
At the top of the user dialog, you must enter the admin password to make any changes.
Crate the user name, then enter and confirm the password. Finally, set the permissions for the profile. There are two default permission groups available (operator, user).
